Dear Linda,

Wedding Fairs, I don’t often do them, long days, hard work, not many people through the door, no bookings. But Linda is persuasive, she had a show at Blake Hall, one of my favourite venues. Austin the Manager is always good for a chat if no one comes, some hope, my voice was horse by the end of the day. Bride after Bride (and the occasional Groom, who wasn’t fishing or playing golf!).

The atmosphere was great, (a live singer made it feel as though a wedding was on). I nearly underestimated the amount of brochures to take (and being a photographer I don’t leave anything to chance). The end result is 5 bookings, 3 for 2011 and a lot of people waiting to firm up a date with a venue before they ring. Linda and the gang well done.

Dear Vanessa,

As we are just into our second full year of advertising our property as a wedding Venue, we decided to take a stand at the Wedding Venue and Services Show at the Shire Hall, in Chelmsford, organised by the Main Event Company. we also placed an advertisement in the new free bridal magazing, Brides Etc, where they produced a special Wedding Venue feature with some editorial.

I have been delighted with my response from the magazine and the wedding venue show. The show and magazine have both proved to be successful, resulting in bookings and visits to my venue.The Main Event Company organisation was very efficiant and pleasent to deal with and the show was altogether a very useful, well organised and well attended event. I was also delighted with the magazine; not only the quality, but the overall presentation of my editorial and my advert has certainly produced a very good response and bookings.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Main Event Company wedding shows and the magazine. Thank you girls for all your help and assistance and making my venue stand out as a great choice for brides!

Hi Vanessa,

I just wanted to thank you today for such a lovely exhibition at the Reid Rooms this weekend. I have only carried out one exhibition in the past and that was the Brentwood Centre many years ago. I think that exhibition is what frightened me off of exhibitions. It was so huge and it lacked any magic. Today was a total contrast. It was warm and inviting and it was a pleasure to see fellow exhibitors enjoying the day. It was so relaxed, I dont think I have ever attended an exhibition with such a relaxed air about it. Also, there were so many of your staff about continuously checking we were all ok. I did not meet anyone at the Brentwood exhibition, no one came to see how I was getting on. I think it was far too big for me, too vast. It was so nice and Kathleen was just fab, so friendly and helpful too. Thank you. Im actually looking forward to the next one!
