Set within 108 acres of mature parkland, Gilwell Park is truly a place of inspiration. Just a short train or car journey from Central London, and yet in open countryside, the entire location combines 17th Century charm with 21st facilities.
The White House, a 17th Century Grade II listed building and the centrepiece of the estate, has been sympathetically restored to offer modern facilities whilst still retaining its period character. As well as providing a stunning backdrop for your perfect wedding reception, the White House offers space to relax in our lounge bar, and houses 41 high quality three star en suite bedrooms.
Gilwell Park also features a large contemporary purpose-built conference and training centre, The Colquhoun International Centre (CIC), which houses a selection of seminar rooms and training suites for 2 – 50 delegates and a large Main Hall for up to 250 people. This is where your wedding breakfast will be set up.
The Buffalo Lawn is a splendid outdoor space for holding reception drinks and is located between the White House and the CIC – it is also the perfect space for barbeques which many guests decide to host the day after the event.
As well as wedding receptions we are the perfect venue for christening parties, dinner dances, parties or other special occasions and charity events.
Owned by The Scout Association for over 100 years but dating back to the 14th Century, Gilwell Park estate is London’s best kept secret!
